As swan journey ends, another begins

On March 18th, Grace completed an extraordinary feat, pedalling the 127 miles of the Leeds – Liverpool canal. It was a massive achievement for Grace, and of course for the BBC Radio Leeds team who seconded her on this crazy mission, and between them they raised over £50k for Sport Relief.

Swan Songs

The Swan Pedalo has had a busy few weeks. On 16 April she was launched upon the Duke’s Dock, next to the A;bert Dock.

She is being hosted by fellow Custodian of the Swan, Simon Derwent, who runs Wowballs. To celebratre this new home for the time being we decided to  invite some musicians down to play aboard the good ship Swan Pedalo.

We were treated to sets from Greedy Jesus, Guillotines, Alex Germaine and Elfin Spurs (Neil’s band).

Where Do You Go?

As part of the Make Your Own Liverpool project myself and John worked on in April, the young people added places that they went in Liverpool. This city-scape lacked a Liver Building, but had no shortage of McDonalds and Primarks.
