Crewe: Beyond Ultimate Reality

Crewe: Beyond Ultimate Reality is a library creative arts programme engaging young people in critical thinking & creativity through exploring interactive hands-on activities and workshops. This group will design public access activity in the form of holiday programmes, culminating in a high profile event in 27th October. Designed to explore the reality of young people in Crewe now and in the future, what is beyond ultimate reality for Crewe?

Working with a dedicated group of Young People to co-produce a big public facing event in October, ideas explored will be the future of Crewe, asking the Young People to imagine their future, their place in it and explore it in an artistic way. The programme is inspired by Cheshire author Alan Garner’s novel Red Shift which states Crewe is the ‘Ultimate Reality’.

Funded by Crewe Libraries, Cheshire East, Arts Council.

Working with artists Tom Smith, Pete Fletcher, Gemma May Latham, Sarah Bailey, Venya Krutikov, Graham Dunning, Olivia du Monceau and the Young People of Crewe.
