Back in September, John O’Shea gave a presentation, sharing some of our working practices, at the Cultural Olympiad – ‘Routes and Trails’ forum, in Nelson, Lancashire.
It was a chance for us to put forward our perspective on working with communities, developing networks and mapping experiences, as well as explain our developing methodology.
The presentation – ‘The Map is Not the Terrain’ – took the audience through some of our experiences of developing participant led projects.Routes and Trails is a developing programme of arts forming part of the North West Cultural Olympiad for 2012.
It seeks to utilise the region’s history, cultural attractions and landscape to build physical and cultural connections between different geographical locations, cultural sites, communities and practices.
